Hi Guys
this is my first post on this Site and I hope I get some help
I have a holden Vx manual, It makes this noise from under the car when changing gears (quick shift), If i just take it easy it won't make any noise
However if i also rev up quickly it makes a loud noise (more like hitting to something)
i got it checked with mechanics, they are giving me lots of crap, One says gearbox, one says drive shaft, bushes etc etc
booked with holden for inspection but before that Want the opinion from here
Cheers

the vic section is for things to do with the vic cruises and meets etc only.
For faults put it under the VX section next time.
I've moved it there for you this time.
but probably center bearing or unijoints on the tailshaft if its a metallic clinking noise or could be your diff going if it only happens under heavy load.
since your in dandenong take it to Hallam Performance in the hallam industrial estate just off hallam road, will cost you alot less then Holden.
Dirbatua is on the money i think.
Get the back of the car on jack stands. get under it and with the car in gear try move the tail shaft around, there should be a tiny bit of play but not much, if it clunks or moved excesively then the uni-joints are stuffed. Used tail shafts cost jack all.
