WH SS transmission hard

My wh satesman has hard shift only when it is cold. Once warmed up it shifts smoothly. There are no error codes or slipping. When I check the tranny dipstick when it is cold it reads low but once it is warmed up after 10-15 minutes it reads full and shifts smoothly.

I have never changed the filter in the tranny 4l60e. Can it be the filter stopping flow.

Decent service would be a good starting point - if the cars done more than 100k I would recommend a full flush and filter change

I did read somewhere an updated program was done... known fault, my WH Grange does it too.
