Default Left front window not working

Sorry about all the threads recently.

So my VX S1 Calais, all the windows work fine except for the front passange side window. I've been told it's the actuator itself and that it needs to be completely replaced, but I've also seen there was an issue with wiring in early model VX's (Mine is 10/00). Could it just be as simple as re-crimping the wired under the switch? Or taking the door apart and re crimping something? Or would it most likely be the actuator?

    Cheers

the regulators are more prone to break then the wiring. my money is on the regulator. and they are so easy to fix.

Yes, that is the regulator. Easy enough to install yourself, if you get stuck, I can write up a how-to (or I think there is one on here).

But I think you can get them a bit cheaper than that if you have a look around, maybe save yourself $20/30.

Yeah I found one for $60, I'll go with that.

Thanks again for the help, I found a guide for a VY, which I assume would be the same.

    Cheers

yeah you just need to drill out the pop rivets which hold it in, and find some bolts from bunnings that fit the hole and use them instead.

Drill out your pop rivets, and find some that are a similar size, I used non-Holden pop rivets, they fit fine.

Yep just make sure they are pretty close to the right ones, I think you can still order them from Holden though, about $3 each or something.
