As the title says the ABS light on the dash keeps coming on and off when driving.
in the book of the car it says if the light comes on theirs a fault but its going on and off..
the brake's work fine but i wanna find whatever it is and fix it just to be on the save side.
Check the relay under the bonnet, maybe it's loose?

It might also be an ABS sensor on one of the wheels.

or you could just check for abs error codes.....
Changed my diff out today and its doin this now. So I'd say check the abs sensors first.
Start a new job 2moro so that job will have to wait til the eve![]()
nah doesn't have traction control mate, yeah guess i'll have to take it to holden and get them to have a look gonna cost a heap of $$$ going to them but.
Or you could not go to holden...
I dont understand why its necessary to go to the dealer.
Check with mechanics a hell of a lot cheaper
My ABS and traction warning lights have been coming on occasionally for years. Goes for months with nothing, then they will come on several times a week for a couple of weeks. I just turn engine off then restart to get rid of the lightsit for the day. Bugger paying anyone to fault find, I just drive the old girl,....It probably will out last me!
My car has done this as well for years, I have changed my ABS module with 3 different units and still does it. Also it doesn't have and fault codes present, on the self diagnostic but a scantool will be put on soon to see if anything shows up.

Hey yep when I was getting my car on the road the abs/trac off light would come on after driving for about 30 secs and stay on, fitted a reco abs unit from egay (seller: speedypumps) but the fault was still there, ended up being the abs unit was faulty not the module so got a good 2nd hand abs unit from the wreckers and it was all sorted. The speedypumps reco abs module has been great so far.
Had same problem here . I unplugged the loom and sprayed contact cleaner on it and has been good the last couple of weeks.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
abs modules are a very common problem not just on the commodores, i have also seen them come on from a low voltage code.
