Default OTR + MAF sensor on a VT SS

I may in the position to score a OTR for my vt SS.
Now my question is, is it worth installing with a MAF sensor?
And will it make any real difference to the performance/induction of the car?

I currently dont have the funds for a MAFLESS tune, plus I don't want to go OVER the top, which is why I'm asking.
Plus I just want a little but extra poke.
Any advice would be great, cheers!

The OTR's have been designed to be run without a MAF in place. The OTR sits up over the front of the condenser even with the MAF removed.

You would probably still have issues with the tune due to the air being pushed in rather than sucked. I can see the engine light turning on because of a too lean mix

Unless you're going to do it properly and get it tuned, it wont work.
