question for VT SS 5.7L owners

I'm wanting to get a vtss within the next couple of months, But am unsure wether to try for a 5L or 5.7L.
I have heard quite a few people say that the 5.7 in the vt were a little unreliable.
I have read the thread in here about the vt 5.7.

Just wondering if any owners could chime in an let me know if they have had any major issues.
