    Default Borred with my VX any idea's?????

    Hey Guys can not aford a new car so want to do something to my 2000 vx



    already lowered on 18" took wing off , tinted windows

    i want it to have more power its only a auto tho

    what is the best way to get more power and performance in general for $500-1000 total?

    For under $50 put some 'my family' stickers on it LOL........i'd say sports exhaust and/or CAI....

    For more power in an auto look at getting a mod chip through here for the ecu your acceleration and gears will become more responsive and don't use that e10 crap

    I thort Exhaust but its a v6 Auto so abit Try hard for me

    Whats a good Chip worth?

    Is there anything that will give you engine noise that is not a exhaust ? if that makes sence ...

    You may be reffering to retuned memcal?

    I'd go with an exhasut first.

    Um the chip is what I would go for first, from bog stardard you will certainly not be bored. I also noticed the car had a slightly angryer note to it. Maybe plenum spacer. I cannot vouch for this mod though as I havent tried it but go for the chip man.

    Memcals can be from $100 - $200 and you dont have to be a wizz with the spanners to install one. mine can with instructions.

    K&N panel filter, decent tune, higher ratio rockers,
    throw it on a dyno and see what it needs

    Give it a good solid service, best thing you can do. Fix all the niggly crap as well, might cost you a grand, but flush the whole system, fix bits and pieces. It'll feel a new car.

    exhaust and CAI with extractors for a little bit more power.

    dont waste your money with that "chip" ebay rubbish.

    Why is the chip rubbish, I dont know about the VX, but I put one on my Vs and the car was far more fun to drive. When I put my foot to the floor it dosent red line and stay there forever before it dicides to change, it kicks down when it should, it shifts in a blink of an eye (incresed line pressure) and easyer starting.

    Why the hate guys?

    Find the seller nicefrog on eBay through google search and message him for 1 he does real memcal chips that swaps out the entire memcal instead of an addon he is also a user on here as greenfoam if you want highest quality find one on mace engineering

    Is it an 8 or 6? VX has flash rom which means no ability to get a tuned memcal.

    go a plenum spacer dude gives u lot of low down torque i got a dyno on it big increase in torque (which VX or all commodores lack) Dyno Run for my Vx COMMY check the b4 and after. Also get an exhaust that should add up to about $500 then if u want go 1.9 roller rockers from MACE for $500 will give u around 10-16kws and more mid-high range power.


    I have on my VX 2.5 twin system (dont get u lose tones of low down) twin high flow cats, pacemaker extractors, manifold spacer, plenum spacer and CAI the b4 is without the spacers and CAI the after well is with them CAI does nothing im taking it back and getting roller rockers. This is from my personal experience. Hope this helps in ur decison

    If u wanted increase in line pressure use the power button lol if u put a chip in a stock then well my dog is smarter then u a chip is design mostly for performance parts u get a chip when u have extractors exhaust CAI and what not, not for a bog stock car all it would do is give u 1-5 kws and "make" it feel as if its shifting harder and go faster. Hmmm

    dont get a chip unless u have mods, chips or reprogrammed computers (for us VX lads) give u more power, fuel economy and better deniability dont no about fuel economy because the more power the more fuel but anyway. Its supposed to give u good fuel economy wouldnt have a clue cause i havent got one yet will get one after i get my roller rockers to get most out of my VX reason u live a chip till last if becuase MACE will tailor to what mods ur car has hense getting the most out of ur car, unlike a tune of ebay which is an off the shelf item which in return could give u less power fuel economy and probably #### your car up.

    If ur going for a chip mod it first then chip it if ur going to get a chip get them from MACE with the VX that cant be chipped they have to be reprogrammed MACE actually express post a computer to u once uve purchased it so u dont go a day without ur car and u get to keep the orignal computer. HOLDEN RECALIBRATED COMPUTER/PCM TO SUIT VU-VX V6 - Mace Engineering Group that is the cost of the computer have a read through and have a look if ur going to get one. Thats my 2 cents enjoy.

    This. Start with the basics and then go from there (high flow intake/intake plenum mods/full exhaust/rocker or cam etc). When you're happy with what you've got get it dyno tuned.

    Is really Helpful

    Still not sure if i will start upgrading or not

    Might just wait 6 months and then get a newish sv6 ,, but the old VX might not make it long
