I'm looking to Buy an exhaust system for my VX sometime in the future and was just wondering about self installation and what not, Anyway long story short. any help on the following would be much appreciated.
- Self installation
- How to avoid a Rubbish Note
- Setups
- Best brands and prices.
Cheers, Tom.
Sometimes I'm faced with a situation, Usually The stupidest option is always the funnest.
- Self installation
Really easy. 2 bolts, 4 rubbers and 2 clamps for the cat back. Bit more involved if fitting extractors, but easy enough with patience and time. About a 3 hour job all up with extractors. No welding required to fit any of it either.
- How to avoid a Rubbish Note
I do the Manta 2 1/2" cat back that sounds really good.
- Setups
Depends on your budget. Extractors for better acceleration, leave the stock cat unless you want it louder and raspy, then the Manta system. $670 shipped for extractors and the system.

As above.
So that manta package comes with Extractors, high flow cat, 2 1/2" piping and what about resonators and the like?

The Manta system comes with extractors and a 2 1/2" mandrel bent cat back with front muffler and rear resonator. It doesn't come with a cat, as I recommend leaving the original cat unless you want it louder and raspy. If you want a cat, it will be an extra $195 and there will be some welding required to weld the new cat in.
i got a redback with a rear resy sounds nice deep drone and no drone when crusing down the highway easy as to put on im looking into extractors but havnt got any yet that cost about 150 off ebay no welding just bolt and rubber oh ant start the car with no exhaust mine sounded like a ####ing semmy
Yeah I think I would start it without the exhaust just for the pure fun of it hahaha.
And thanks for the advice/help with that Not_an_abba_fan, I'm Actually pretty interested in that manta package.
