i know this is a stupid idea, but hear me out...
my mechanic mate had a young bloke come in the other day with a vt commo with a blown up supercharged 6, this kid also has an atmo ecotec motor and loom that he wants bolted in to replace the blown motor.
i assume the motor would bolt in ok but what would have to be done electronics wise?? will the s/c motors loom fit on the atmo ecotec? will the ecu need to be changed? are the pin-outs on the s/c-atmo ecu's the same? will just a memcal swap be enough to get it running? will a memcal swap require re-syncing of the ecu/bcm/key?
too many questions i know, but my mate would like to know what he's in for before taking this job on, any advice is appreciated
Bcm ecu engune loom ignition i think and gearbox i am not 100% Sure.

also the Supercharged V6's gearbox is the same except the torque converter is different so just swap them
(the Super6 has a higher stall)
You can use the Super 6 stall and gearbox on an NA V6
Dont know why you'd bother when you can get V6 VT's in good nick for 3 grand. Sell the L67, buy an Ecotec, and pocket the difference
Then swap them
Back when he's off his p's or I know someone who may be interested in the l67 top end
