Hi, hope someone can help or suggest possible fault. I was driving our VX with the air-conditioning on when the air-cond suddenly stopped working. The light still stays on but there is no air coming out and the fan doesn't work either (ie doesn't blow any air into the car at all). My brother (god bless him) has checked the fuses and relays and said they are OK. He has mentioned it may be the fan speed resistor. Any ideas whether this may be the problem? Thanks in advance.
Fan speed resistor or blower fan died.

Def your fan speed resitor, it is located up behind the glovebox somewhere, mine went as well, its caused by a build up of leaf matter etc through the plenum chamber which over heats the resistor. Get a mechanic to change it, not a big job but you need to know how to do it. Hope this helps.

Thanks uniacidz; it was the blower fan after all. I found some info in this forum about removing it and the other half did that last night - gave the motor a clean and now the air-cond is going again.......Yippeee beats suffering through this Perth heatwave of high 30's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again to everyone !
