This is probly a dumb question but i've got some hsv springs from a vx r8. the rear springs are the same as fe2 with EM on the tag which according to the holden service manual is v6 v8 fe2 rear springs so thats not a problem. my problem is I dont not know wat the code HT is HJ i think is front fe2 for both engines v6 and v8. which in saying that holden in the vx only made one set of fe2 front springs for the v6 and v8. so im guessing HT is a hsv spring but would be almost the same as the fe2 spring. so if i fit them the car should sit the same as fe2?
they will fit but i think they will sit a bit higher because of the weight of the 8 compared to the 6
Starin at the world through my rearview
Go on baby scream to God, he can't hear you
I can feel your heart beatin fast cause it's time to die
Gettin high, watchin time fly
It will sit higher becouse the v8 hevy duty.
ok i fitted them yes it does sit higher by about 5 mm then my dads gts which has the same HT tagged springs in it. its still lower then standard (fe1) , looks sick and rides and handles better. So i would say its worth doing it u get the hsv springs and shocks cheap but ur car may sit different as most commodores will sit different. for example my bros vx exec on standard springs sits the same as the vx gts does when measured from the same point on the body
Still like to know what the Code HT stands for. like eg HJ is code for FE2
