Gregory's used to be better but apparently they have gone down hill lately.

gregories is the exact same as the Haynes ones.

i know this because when i was looking at one for my VS the only difference was the cover.
i was like what the.... took the gregories one back and changed it over for the ellerys (as i already had the haynes)
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

Yeah,Ive found that up to VS models, the gregorys is a lot better,(especially when it comes to their wiring diagrams). I have haynes, max ellery and gregorys manuals that go from VN through to VS. Ive also heard that the gregorys have gone downhill with the later model books. (VT and later)

Either one is better than nothing but I've always used Gregory's (VH, VN, VR and VT) and found them to be good enough to get the job done. Try to find an old issue rather than a new one. Even better if you can get your hands on the Holden Workshop CD. Try searching and you might get lucky, I down loaded mine off the net free.

I would not touch ellerys with a 10 foot pole. I have the one for VB-VK. It is poorly written, incomplete, and is even full of spelling and grammar mistakes!! LOL!!! I have gregorys for the VX, is da bomb....however, if Haynes ever does one for the VX (do they) I'd recommend it too; had a Haynes for the Peugeot 306; far and away best workshop manual I ever had....
