Default VS motor in Vt - can't start car

Hi, we have dropped a vs motor into a vt commodore series 1. Can turn car over but cannot get it to start. Please help! Have replaced crank angle sensor. Taken to mechanics - says voltages check out ok. Getting desperate to get this car going now

You need to link the BCM and ECU with a TECH 2. It's a security thing.

If the BCM and ECU are still the originals, it shouldn't be a security issue, you need to change a couple of sensors over too, the engines are basically the same, just the VT uses a few different sensors. Put the VT sensors on the VS motor.

I know the coolant temp sensor is in the VS but not in the VT, so the plug for it shouldn't be there. Don't attach anything to the VS sensor.
