Very nice mate, future mods sound good. Just make sure you get rid of that fugly black strip down the side :P

If you don't mind my asking, what'd set you back?

Haha yeah i think that might come off pretty soon, maybe after we've finished fixing a few things, tends to protect the door when people fly the door open into a wall.

Around about $6000 it set me back

    lol, yeah good point :P

6 grand's not bad, and anything under 200,000km is excellent with a car this old.

Vtss - I do know what I'm into. I'm not insisting the day I'm off my ps I will chuck a 5.7 in. But it will be a project. I just like the appeal of a v8 wagon. Most of my mates and my old man are mechanics or auto engineers so I'll be well backed even if it takes me 6 months it will be a learning experience which is all I want

Cheers mike. I'm generally pretty happy with it

Just be careful with the V8, in a wagon you basically have two options: Oversteer and "that tree came out of nowhere".

How long till you're off you P's? Cause if you start this project before me you can let me know if I should be going for a Super6 instead.

Haha yeah the other option is a super6/ TT ecotec setup, however i just like the appeal of an 8 considering i drove nothing but Gen3s on my learners.
Im not off my P's for another 18-24 months due to new laws saying if you lose your license for 1 month they add another 6 on plus however long you lost your license.

Car will be a daily cruiser i actually already have another car waiting for when i get my degree/full license which is a toy car
