    Default Vt Aircon not getting cold

    Hi all my vt ss s2 aircon is starting to annoy me as it gets cold in the mornings and night and on cool days but really hot days it cant compete with the heat. the air con switch is kicking in an out when i push the ac on and off and the systems has gas in it so i dont no why it doesnt seem to work any ideas would be great

    well i dnt no for sure but i have had it for a year and the previous owner said he got it done a year before that so atleast 2 - 3 years going by what he has told me

    They should be serviced every two or so mate. Take it to your auto elec or Mechanic. It shouldn't cost anymore than 150 or so.

    Most likely issue is that the gas has escaped.

    The air con system is a closed system through the use of seals, if they aircon is not used frequently the seals harden and over time - break. This is when the gas escapes. Get it regassed, but make sure the seals are all in good repair.

    cheers will take it to the shop. mike i use it everyday and it has gas in the system cos when i press the valve down it comes out so maybe just needs a service

    As above there a sealed system, if its low on gas there is a leak.. the refrigerant also lubricates the system which is why it should be run a few times each week regardless of the weather.. If you do get it regased get them to put die in with the gas then when its not cold you can take it back and they can tell where its leaking. Apart from the obvious if its hot and you have the ac going flat out its not going to do much ac works best half fan speed
