    Unhappy can these be replaced???

Hi guys, i replaced my front caster bushes on my vt and undoing the nuts i snapped 2 off the drivers side. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them? and what did you do to fix it?. Can these bolts be replaced? I had a talk to holden spares they said you can't buy the bolts you can only replace the whole chassis part the lower control arms connect to for like $1200. Do these bolts come off as they seem to be welded on. ideas?????

They look like flat headed pressed in bolts, what id try is remove the caster arm and try to beat them out from the thread side using a punch. from there you can replace them with a bolt, Find a bolt specialist and use a hightensile stainless steel bolt and nylon lock nuts, should cost less than $5 for the bolts. (don't use some bunnings crappy bolt)

there is no such thing as high tensile stainless steel bolts... 316 and 304 stainless steel will only be equivalent to grade 4.6. They may look cute in an engine bay, but they do not meet the grade
    If in doubt......FLOOR IT!!!

...or go to your nearest vehicle wrecker and have a scout around on the ground, all the wreckers I have been to seem to have plenty of assorted bolts & nuts scattered on the ground!
