cluster upgrade and globe for klm display

just wondering were the best place to get a cluster upgrade would be from a lvl 1 cluster to a 3 and are there any problems that occur from upgrading, any difficultys or is it plug and play and is it worth it.

also just incase its not worth the time or effort/money were can i buy a globe for my single cluster for the klm display since its got a blown globe there.

Wreckers or ebay. If you get one from a vehicle with the same engine size and transmission type it will plug straight in and work. If you get one from a different spec vehicle it can be recalibrated to suit.
You can get a globe from Holden for $15-$20, nearly as much as you can pay for a used cluster (sarcasm) .
Just checked ebay and there are heaps of them.

ok just so im 100% sure if i get a one from a automatic vx v6 it should work perfect in the upgrade?

also while im at it i might as well ask do you happen to know if there are any cd players that will work with steering wheel controls easily from stock or not?

It has to be the same specs too as in the same number of air bags, heater or climate control ,tyre size ,those sort of things .

I have recently upgraded my cluster, but the donor car had more airbags than mine did, so I need to get it reprogrammed.

Go to Holden if money is no object. Otherwise ring a few mechanics to see if they can do it.

most mechanics that service Holden shit will have a tech2 as they need it to read error codes off the car

HOWEVER... I found many haven't done a cluster config before
