Rear RH Passenger Door leaking into interior

Hi All,

The mastic (yellow resin) that holds the water deflector in place between the sheet metal and interior trim on the car doors (VX Berlina) has given way on the rear RH passenger door at the bottom and water leaks into the car now. I've tried to find out who sells this stuff in Newcastle to fix the leak but have only had success with one of the local Holden dealerships. The only problem is that it only comes in a 12 metre roll which is enough to do about 40 cars. I don't need that much of it.

Does anyone know if this stuff is sold in Newcastle in smaller quantities? Any recommendations on a substitute material that has the same properties?

RACING TAPE!! Had exact same issue, used racing tape (aka duct tape, gaffer tape), when door card was back on trimmed off excess tape carefully with a scalpel. Leaking appears to have stopped. Hope this helps
