Im just wondering, what isthe little black hose that attaches just under where the hose from the air filter attaches, does that also let air in or out? im trying to find out what us making an airy sound from under my bonnet, i checked the air filter, gave it a clean, made sure it was fitted properley. That little black hose clamp is a little lose not sure if i should try and tighten it or not, where else would air be going through, any pictures would be a great help as i dont know much about motors. Im also going to be getting a new fan belt as this one looks like its on it way out, and my gasket just above the spark plugs seems to have a slight leak should get them done aswell.
The 'black hose' goes from the bottom of the TB and works its way through the inlet manifold and then connects down behind the manifold. It sometimes comes off depending on what you've done previously.
If it wont stay where it needs to be, superglue will help

Rocker cover gaskets are like $20 a Pair max from Holden and get some gasket goo to deal it properly... Fairly easy job
Ok, yeah the purge hose sounds like it might be the problem, it whistles bad under acceleration, im guessing it would be alot easier if i take the engine cover off to check the back of it.
