i use injecter cleaner everytime i fill up. i was using w10 but told that was stuffing the motor/fuel system. so i went to standard fuel but might start using bp ultimate or shell vpower some sort of high octane fuel..how would i clean the plenum chamber? take the complete unit off the motor and do it that way and what do i use to clean it? cheers for all the advice huys.. i will be doing oxy sensors and look into doing diff gears but can diff gears fit a lsd?.. once again cheers guys..
I just used a rag and some carb cleaner to clean the plenum chamber.

should i take the plenum off the manifold so nothing goes into the motor itself?
i put ss induction cold air intake extractors decent plugs and leads and run 98 octane fuel and it changed the vehicle completly
ive got an ss cai at a mates but i got to get to melb to pick it up. ive wanted to do extractors... what plugs and leads did you use?. ive only got bosh but its all less than 1000ks old...
i ran ngk irridum plugs and top gun leads i was also gunna put computer in mine and get it tuned up but i sold it and got a 6litre
yeh but its designed to be burnt up, when you use it on a carb you have the engine running. Plus it evapourates anyway buy the time everything is back together there is bugger all in the motor.but wouldnt the carby cleaner and the sh1t that gets cleaned run into it?
If the engine wont start afterwards push the throttle to the floor and crank it.

ohh fair enough.. cheers for that mate.. ill pick some up tomorrow... ill rip the top off now to have a look, see how bad it is...
It's not the carby cleaner that you have to worry about, it's the thick black gunk that you'll scrape off that you don't want going down the holes. Stuff some rag down each hole, then before you remove the rag, vacuum the crap from around it first.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
Oh right, yours will have gunk from the EGR. maybe you should pull it off.

Had the exhaust and extractors on it when I bought it so that might be why
Although my mate in his Vz acclaim(175kw) can't get away from me say from a set of lights or something
And daily driving I can get away with only using about 10% throttle If that... So the torque is there
i definatly will be cleaning the plenum.. it is discusting lol... im also looking into getting a shift kit and corvette servo for my trans as i think thats where im losing the up and go.. might need a service or something.. i dont really know.. but cheers guys...
