    Default stateman power hose replacement

I have wh statesman and the short hose of the power steering reserviour leaks very slowly. I have to top it up every two weeks. I live in saudi arabia and they do not have any hose in stock. I tried a heater hose but it got bended where it curves. What kind of hose can I use. Heater hose will not work. I need something flexible.

    Try tightening the hose clamps?

The original Holden power steering hoses are specially shaped to suit and are reinforced inside with a coil.
Sometimes you can be lucky and stop the leak by tightening the hose clamp (if your leak is at a join) but what usually happens is the hose clamp is tightened so much that the clamp distorts out of round and leaks as bad if not worse no matter how much you tighten it. The hoses have just enough length to reach so chopping a bit off and retightening isn't an option.
I replaced both hoses recently here in OZ and it cost about $30 for one and $20 for the other shorter one (from Holden).

Can you get your dealer to order the hose for you?

try transmission cooler hose. Should be able to bend it close to the original shape so that it'll fit
