Are my seats stuffed? They have lots of round lumps under the fabric and are multiplying at a rapid rate. All seats have the same issue and it is in the vertical part of the seat and the bottom of the seat. Is it something a motor trimmer can fix, or would it be cheaper to buy a good set of seats from the wreckers?
buy some from a wrecker mate.. easies n probly end up cheaper.. lol
Are the front seats hard to remove from the tracks, and is it hard to fit replacement seats to the tracks?
the seats on the VT/VX were the first by holden to have the fabric glued to the foam. this can break down over time. A secondhand seat may also have the issue, if it doesn't its likely it will develop. A trimmer * may* be able to do something though by pulling off fabric from affected seats and re-gluing, but no promises....
Those little lumps is the foam deteriorating. My solution to this was to buy some VY SS seats, problem solved. LOL.
Tracks are held on by 4 bolts, easy enough to remove. All seats from VT-VZ I believe are interchangeable. Just ensure that if you get VY/VZ seats to also get the rails as I believe the rail to cushion mounting point is different.
From my VX seats. Same for other side of seat.

My VX is like brand new inside and out and even my seats have slowly started to peel away from the foams. For my seats I think it would be worth getting them reglued as they are mint in every other way.
