    Default Brown Sludge in Radiator?

Last week I was driving and out of nowhere my oil pressure alarm sounded for a few seconds and then went away. Ended up forgetting about it and haven't seen it since but last night the car overheated so I had a look and noticed it was leaking from the bottom drivers side of the radiator. Filled it up to get home and noticed the coolant was a very brown dirty muddy colour and the water that was leaking on my driveway also dried a brown like mud or rust colour.

I've ordered a new radiator but is it possible the brown sludge in the radiator and the oil alarm are related? I've checked the oil and the oil level doesn't appear to have dropped at all and there is no milky colour on the oil cap so I'm quite unsure about whats going on as I'm not too familiar with Commodores.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

usually when the rad needs replacing the coolant turns a redish color, i would also be checking your inlet manifold gasket, and have your heads checked.

the inlet manifold gasket going is a common problem in the VT's.

How hard is the job to replace the inlet manifold gasket? Is there a guide somewhere?
