VT II LS1 Oil Pressure switch replacement.

Hi guys, My wife's TV II Cluby has flashed up an error code p0523. It maybe just a coincedence but only a week before I did an oil change and for the first time I used Penright oil instead of Mobil 1. Having said that, I am thinking I should start by changing the oil pressure switch. Can any one tell me where on an LS1 it is situated and do I require any special tools. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's behind the intake manifold near the firewall in a very awkward position. I bought a special socket to remove mine.

By "special" do you mean a long (extended) socket? What size?

Yes, it was labelled as oil pressure switch remover socket but basically it is just a taller socket. It is American and therefore the size is 1 & 1/16, which according to the conversion calculator is 26.9875mm, so a 27mm socket should do.
