Hi all.
I have a VU 5.7L S Pac ute.
my central locking stopped working a month ago so I got a new head from a lock smith and it still didnt work.
The lock smith told me to take it to an auto electrician. he told me it was a fuse. i checked the fuse and all ok. I then took it to Holden. Holden swapped the BCM with one from their stock and it still doesnt work. So far all I know is its not the key, BCM or a fuse. Does anyone else have any suggestions please. Holden arent helping at all
So far im down $420 and got nothing fixed.
any help or advice is very much appreciated.
thanks.
Sounds like you're getting the run around....
Are the solenoids in the doors making any noises at all when you press the remote?
How about when you manually push the lock buttons on the doors?
No noise at all when i press the buttons on the key.
When i lock the doors manually it all sounds normal.
Any ideas?
when you press the drivers door button and lift the drivers door button does the other door respond
yes the passenger door responds.
no I haven't touched the door trims
most likely remote receiver has died or you got a dodgy new remote
do you know where the remote receiver is located?? Can you buy replacements with out going to holden again. Im not impressed with them.
pretty sure its not the remote as holden sold me another one and said it definately worked. But they have been wrong before.
Thanks for your help.
it's on the dash right in the middle
do you have auto headlights if so are they working
holden can check key reader and remote with tech 2
the auto headlights have been working intermittently for a while now probable more often not working than working. would this be related do you think?
so to check the receiver would i pull the dash out? or is there an easier way?
auto hedlights are on same fuse/circuit so probably a wiring or fuse issue, fuse 31, 10amp under bonnet
I have not seen receiver but manual says it is between demister vents
