have 3 sets of hsv rims that i would like to run on my VX SS, 2 x 19in with 245/35/19s and one set of fake pentagons with 245/19/20s, all front rims hit the front struts, the 20s are jammed soild up against the strut and the 19s will spin but do rub on it, any help would be good.... cheers adrian
Might have to get coilovers?
yeah u may b rite bud....
I have 225/35 ZR20's on my Vx Ss and they fit perfectly?
Your pentagons have a wrong number.. You wrote 245/19 R20
It it's meant to be 245/35 then it should fit
yeah sorry m8, 245/35/20s for the pentagons, and 225/35s are the wrong load rating for the car so i was told by a tyre shop today
Then we have the same tyres except yours are wider.
Yeah I know man, bought them with the 225's on the rims. Gonna get 245's when they get low
I dunno if you know tyres but the first lot of numbers are width so my 225's have to stretch onto the rims
yeah i know they will fit but the load ratings are wrong, have an accident and we may in trouble with the insurance company...
Vn to vs need to have the spring seat modified or moved up to fit 20s regardless of brand, hsv, bbs
Ahaha yeah I'm aware of that. Back to your car!!! I don't understand how they won't fit!! Especially the 20's
ok cheers for ya input lads!![]()
225/35R20 and 245/35R20 are the same except a 20mm width difference.. 10mm each side. That could possibly cause rubbing, wouldn't cause it to get stuck.
Anyway that's my opinion.. Not too familiar with tyres so I'm gonna stop here![]()
35 is a percentage of the width. do the math, then come back and tell me theyre the same diameter.
psst: Tire size calculator
sorry mate your right! so with 245's he would have to have 245/30's? or something like that
i dont know if its relevant but i have 245/35r19s on my lowered vt and have no problems with the front rubbing at all..
Yeah, sounds like the 19's are wrong offset for the car is they are rubbing as the tyre the OP specified is correct.
The Penta's are not fitting because the tyre is the size you would run on a VE, too tall for pre-VE.
