    Default Front door speaker

Hi guys, I got a pair of second hand sony speaker which is 3-way 200-watt. I am wandering will it be better than the stock front door speakers? what's the size of the stock one and power output? Actually I was trying to do it myself as it cost me $66 for professional job. I couldn't remove the trim, I suspect the windows winder and the door lock needs to be removed before the trim. Anyone have experience on it? any comment will be appreciated.

this link should do the trick for you
    Removing VT/VX door trim
I can't take the credit for it though julie put me onto it, worked a treat .
Your stock speakers are 6.5 inch (can put in 6's aswell) 15 watt paper cone jobbies really old school stuff. I replaced mine with similar to yours and sounds a lot better but you won't get a great sound until you get rid of the head unit.

Good luck msg me if you get stuck.

6.5" are 16cm which is what alot of the Pioneer etc ones are.. They fit perfectly into the stock speaker pods..

I got Pioneer splits in mine but don't have the tweeter installed so doesn't sound as good as it should, but I ain't bothering until I get my new car.

    Cheers.
