hey guys
my little brothers VT is playing up and i just took it for a drive and when accelerating when in D the car didnt go anywhere it was powerless and took forever to build speed, the engine didnt wanna give out any power when going 20km and even putting the pedal to the floor, just no power at all. it seemed to reverse fine and have fine low revs. the car doesnt feel to have any resistance when driving.

do you reckon hes up for a new trans? i need to change his diff oil weve been told its low do you think this could have an effect? any ideas or anything would be helpful at this stage

cheers guys

How long since new plugs and leads, they can make an auto seem totally shot if they're in need of replacement.

16 = Coolant tems sensor or circut problem.
17 = PCM coolant temp circut problem.
..................................................................
13 = Oxygen sensor or circut problem.
14 = Coolant sensor or circut problem.
15 = Coolant temp sensor or circut problem.

vs commodore
The VT to VZ workshop manual says-
Code 13= Right side 02 sensor - no signal.
Code 14= Engine coolant temperature signal low.
Code 15= Engine coolant temperature signal high.
Code 16= Engine coolant temperature signal Erratic.
Code 17= Engine coolant temperature circuit- PCM.
The problems these codes point to would be some, if not most of the reason why the car is not running right.

I don't know how common/uncommon it may be for these sensors to fail at the same time but I would think that it may be highly likely that only one has failed completely and that would be enough to cause your problem.Perhaps it may be worth checking, with a multimeter, that the harness is not at fault and if all is ok then replace the sensors.Good luck

Even know there are a few error's,It only really add's up to 2 issue's.
O2 sensor.
Temp sensor.
Replace those 2, And all should be fine.
