my mate just bought a 01 vx s-pac for 20thousand, it has 150thousand on the clock and its pretty much stock xcept it has an xaust, is that a good buy or a rip off? ....just wondering does it have the same engine as my 98 vt executive v6??

Pretty high Kms for a 20 grand car. I wouldn't pay much more than 15k.

It does pretty much have the same engine, but with better refinements.
More power, smoother, better fuel etc etc

Look at it this way. If your happy with the car, then who cares what you paid for it.
As long as your happy!!

If your happy thats all that matters, bit pricey but. I paid $25,500 for vx series 2 ss black, manual with 79,000km and i have given up looking in the various papers, cause you always find one cheaper the next day, murphys law.

Yeah, seems a bit high but as longs as your happy.
I paid $23,500 for my vt berlina series 2, 5.7 ltr with 39000 on the clock 18 months ago.

My mate just brought a vx s pack manual last week for $16,000 with 80,000 on the clock from a dealer on the goldcoast.Its in exellent condition.Hope this helps.

Wow - i paid $20k for my 02 VX series 2 Acclaim wagon 4 months ago - it only had 70000km on it.

Was it a private sale or through a yard?

I paid $11,900 at the start of the year for my 01 VX EXEC S2 on Dual Fuel..

It was in perfect condition but had 160k on the clock. All of them were highway K's, but I thought it was pretty good buy..

I paid $16,000 for my 2001 series 2 VX S pac supercharged V6 commodore in black with 102,000km on the clock, new tyres and 6 months rego so I am pretty happy with that

I paid $21,000 for my 2003 VY Exec with 18's... that was in Aug 2005...

and too bloody true what you see soon after you realise you can always do better, but then you will always be looking too...

I'm already trying to sell and get an 8... and can't get about 17,000...

Last week privately bought a VX S Ser.2 Black Automatic sedan with 99,000 kms for 14,200, it had a shopping trolley scratch on the rear door but otherwise ok.
It was an ex telstra vehicle with a "headlight's always on" safety feature.
Does anyone know how to disable/disconnect it ?
