Ticking sound in motor!

Hey all today i noticed when i start my car there is a ticking sound coming from the engines crancase, when car warms up goes away but at lights can hear it again,2 weeks ago i changed the oil in my VT i put 15w-50 is it maybe to thin the oil? i checked oil leval and it seems to be fine and car doesnt overheat what could be the prob???

It sounds like it could be your oil is too thin if that is when you noticed the sound but if I am wrong someone else will surley know the answer.

ticking sound could be a few different reasons.... hydoilic cam lifters can tick untill engine warms up in a few minutes... it could be spark jumping from ignition coil or spark leads.... lokk under the bonnet at night in the dark with engine running... could be fuel injectors too... they click sometimes...
