there is an id number at the bottom pass. side of the windscreen, should be two plates in the engine bay, one on the radiator support panel and one on the firewall.
where is the VIN or Chassis number stamped on the body of a VX.... is it on the front sub frame ?

but does this stop car rebirth.... i thought VIN was also stamped on the subframes... i'm just worried cos i bought this VX with good 18 wheels, like new interior, mechanicly fine with 6 months rego for $10,500.... insured value is $15,000.... see them in caryards for around $18,000... i got no log books or any previous owners...
Probably never stop rebirthing...How many k's on her..could be a ex cab..lololool
Nah only joking mate, but sounds cheap though..& with no logbooks etc that sounds a bit sus..
its got 157,000 klms..... tiger mica gold... very clean inside anr out... no sign of oil anywhere
Note down the VIN number on the ID plate and get VicRoads to do a search for you against the Engine Number which I am pretty sure is stamped into the actual engine block (I think).
i'm in QLD... what if its a rebirth?.... will i loose the car and my money?...
Hmm, I'd think you would if it's been registered as stolen. Do you have access to the person you bought it from.. like contact details or anything?
yea... i got the sellers name, address, phone number, found out he has ABN number, ebay ID.... he has sold quite a few cars cheap on ebay and heaps of spare parts.... when i told him i was reporting him to a few gov departments for dodgy safety inspection, he took all items off ebay..
