Hi all..

looking to upgrade my exhaust system - nothing crazy, just cat back.

I've been told Redback bolt on 2.5" Mandrel bend is the way to go for my VX S-Pack.

How much should i be looking to pay - installed with tip(s)?

Or are there any people you know in the Sydney area you can recommend?

Cheers,..

well im in hervey bay queensland.
and it between 290 and 320 for a 2.5 inch sport system from the cat back.
most exhaust places will have them cause there a fully made system not custom built so it is a lot cheaper.
and most of the places throw in a free tip.

Mate I recommend Windsor exhaust centre!!
They're out at Richmond, but they did my VX 6 banger and I recon it has to be one of the best sounding sixes I've heard. Doesn't drone at all!!!

Not trying to blow wind up my arse. . . .

I paid 370 with a VT oval tip on mine.
Thats cat back 2.5 btw.

Oh and they bend them there, its not a "brand name" zorst.

Hope this helps ya.

Cheers, Keegan

interesting..

i rang an exhaust place in parra the other day.

The guy quoted $390 for a 2.5" cat bak redback exhaust system, dual muffler and two tips.. mentioned something about heatproofing it too?? i dunno..

but from what you guys tell me it seems like a decent price :)

HEAT PROOFING.... i read that when you tow and fit a tow pack.... there is a heat shield in the pack that protects the tailshaft center bearing..... maybe this is what they was talking about...

Bumpity Bump..

I'm about to fit a zorst to my Commy and have whipped out the search button..

deserthead, how is the zorst sound on gas? Is it much different to petrol?

And to anyone with a redback 2.5 inch with a hotdog, how is the sound? My car is very very quiet as is, and I don't really want to disturb the noise at low revs (highway cruising or idling), but I'd love to make a good note at high revs..

What do you reckon's the best? I've found a redback 2.5 zorst for $350, apparently it's easy to bolt on too. I have ramps and **** to do it..

Thoughts?
