This has been driving me nutso.. I'm not engineer so I'm not entirely sure where Holden wrapped these wires in that crappy sticky black tape stuff but if anybody could assist would appreciate it.
I am trying to locate the yellow wire that normally would run from the steering wheel controls to the back of the head unit.
I had a professional install aftermarket stezza for me and somehow I am not able to locate the wire. I've tried to find it from the steering wheel control end but I have no idea where to look.. I took the top off the steering column but all the wires are bound tightly in bundles.. I'm not entirely sure the path it takes to get to the back of the stereo. Anybody? Anyone got a photo or something?
Cheers.

Hey VXWagMan,
I thought the VX steering wheel controls only had two wires running to the head unit, Brown and Black/White? Where Brown is the signal and Black/White is Ground. Brown is pin 9 (at one end) of the factory stereo wiring harness, Black/White is pin 16 (3rd from the other end).

sorry i mean the brown wire.. kind of looked yellowish.. the brown one is what i'm looking for..

Can you run the controls on the steering wheel for the new stereo? I just put another stereo in my VX but didnt think it could run off the steering wheel as the factory one had a master plug that fitted straight into the back of it and this plug was wired to the steering wheel controls. My clarion one I put in didnt have that of course. If anyone has any ideas how you can wire a non standard head deck to the controls can you let me no. Thanks
