Howdy to all,
With the recent downpour of rain in Melbourne, I have noticed a slight leak of water on the driver side passenger door (rear) in my VX! Almost directly behind the drivers seat. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Or any suggestions from anyone how to fix it.
I used to have a VN with water leaking into the boot. I was hoping that I wouldn't experience a similar thing with the VX!
Thanks.
Hmmmm not a good thing in a newer car....have you checked your seals?
u must be lying... it neva rains in melbourne, always a nice summer day there....
yer i would check ur seals but i have had water come through the top of my window when it was fully closed...
I recently had my VX Berlina wagon transport by carcarrier from Brisbane to Cairns. Lots of rain in the north at the time. When the car arrived the right rear passenger floor was really wet. The only thing I could find was a small section of the seal at the top of the door was folded in. It continues to fold in every time I open the door. I make sure it is out when I close the door and no more water, even though we have just had some heavy rain. I will be asking holden about this at the next service.
I've noticed the seal is folded in a bit on my right rear passenger door - on the side of the window (where the smaller trangular window is)... but the door doesn't leak (probably because it's on the side, and not the top).
My boot has a habit of leaking though. On the rear of the garnish is what appears to be a "catchment area", with holes drilled in it - which are too high, as it'll fill with water. I've heard reports of this happening to lots of people, so it's not just me (anyone know how to fix it though?)
