yeah, pretty annoyed, had the car for like 4 days and it wont turn over. it was totally fine, and tonight it rained, and i went and dropped off some stuff to someones house, and i get back in the car, AND IT WONT TURN OVER. I get a veeerrrry slight cough at the start and then a quick clicking sound.
i thought hmm, batterys dead, thats odd. got a charger pack, tested it and it said it was fully charged. all the electrics in the car are fine the b****** just wont turn over.
Im still covered with the standard warranty, hopefully i didnt get shat on by holden here, i really dont want thative had the car for 4 days, had one decent cruise around town in it, and now i feel like crying. well after walking 20 mins in the rain, (thanks to my phone not getting signal) and being owned by tow truck prices at night. i dont feel like crying as much as busting knee caps right now.
can you guys help here, its a V6 VU S2 ute. no mods at all.
your time will come soon car loan....soon.
To me it sounds like a dead battery, or a bad connection to the battery
i dont get it tho, i never budged the battery, or even gone over a bump at a dodgy speed.
I just drove it there, and got back in the car not even 2 mins after and it wouldnt start!

Batteries can do that quickly, connections can move etc
In these cars, it is common for the battery earth wire connections to fray to the point where they eventually break. Sounds like yours is on its last legs. I don't know why they use such a weak wire in the first place.
*sigh* woke up this morning, car started first time....cheeky. still took it to holden and they replaced battery and had someone check over it, while i sat on the couch and watched some movie. they forgot to enter in the radio code tho, but i came back and it took all of 2 seconds for that to happen. anyway, its all good now, except now its just that something extra on my mind every time i turn the key.

Super hot days or super cold nights will ruin an old battery. I had to replace mine on Monday after it was 42 degs in melb on Sunday. Battery was 4 years old so it was due. Worked fine on the hot day. It was holding 12 volts but when i went to start the car it dropped to 1 volt. New battery time.
At least now you know how old your battery, is and have a warranty for 2 years.
