hello all, looking for some advice
My VX2 s pack's carpet has torn badly on the drivers side transmission hump where my wife and I put our feet when we get in or out. While I would love to try and claim a new one under our extended warranty I think that the dealer would just laugh at us
so I'm wondering if anyone out there has any thoughts or advice on replacing the carpet with a genuine item from GMH - should I try fitting myself or getting a trimmer to do it?
I also have quotes from one dealer who tell me it is a one piece item and another who tells me it's a one piece item plus an insert - what that all about.
cheers

what did the dealer quote you im also interested in replacing my carpet, myne isnt torn but its slightly worn near the foot rest and theres a couple of tiny stains here and there from previous owners i like to keep my car immac
Get a trimmer to do it, im getting it done to mine in custom plush, as well as roof lining in custom costing $560 that includes boot, front and rear one piece carpets and charcoal roof lining all fitted
I've had two quotes from dealers - $380-$415 retail. The trimmer I spoke with quoted about $300 trade & about $100-$150 to fit.
I got a quote for carpet for my ute.
See below
"Thanks for the enquiry.
We do make a replacement carpet set for your VG ute. It is 2 pieces. The front carpet covers area from under the dash back to approx. 100mm. under the seats while the rear piece underlaps the front carpet and extends back under the seats to the back wall. Cost for the 2 pieces is $105(loop-pile), $118(plush-pile) and $135(superplush-pile). Freight to Canberra is $15. "
