Hi fellow holden heads. I have a vt wagon on gas. Once its warmed up and i go to take off it stutters/tries to stall. I have to release the pedal and try again until it goes. I used to ride the brakes to overcome this problem. Since then i.ve worked out by having a switch to turn on low speed cooling fans and using it when i.m stopped and car is fully warm that i never have this problem. It started around the time the fans stopped comming on when you turn the car off and the water gets hot enough. You know how they come on? It also seems as though the car gets hotter before the low speed fans even come on now. Just below half on the gauge. I.ve checked a gazzillion voltages sensors etc with my gregories manual. Although they check out something isnt the way it should be. I feel as though i may need a new temp sensor but if anyone out there has had this problem and fixed it another way can you please give a stumped guy some advice? It will be greatly appreciated. I have reset everything countless times to have it run the way it should for a day or so then go back to its old self. I have also changed plugs n leads plenty of times. Fresh ones in there now. I.ve even swapped the ecu and bcm to no avail after a day or so of driving. Gus.

When was the last time you serviced the LPG system ??? How about payıng a vısıt to LPG specialist..Nobody here (wont and shouldn't) tell you how to muck-a-round with lpg system..Although just about all the symptoms are the same, the repair procedures are different according to their types and brands.(converter-and-mixer system--Vapour phase injection system--Liquid phase injection system)

can you run it on petrol ?

Just below half on the gauge <---this is normal as the thermostat opens at 104 unless you change the thermostat then it will open sooner.

if you have run a bypass switch this will confuse the computer system is what i found out the hard way.

my problem was really deep took me a while to work out and i had to rewire the pin configuration on the back of the fuse panel under hood to match it all up properly.

the pins on relays have numbers on them i found a few wirer's to the pins where incorrect.

also the wirer's that hang around the battery to the fans themselves can be damaged via battery acid e.t.c.

to me it sounds like the lines and the injectors may need a clean if it runs on petrol put in that injector cleaner. the signs and symptoms would be a blocked fuel filter but your running gas.

hope this helps was just thinking if it runs on petrol should be able to fix yourself if its only gas would need to do what VTS5 suggested :)

Thanks for the replies. My system is just the normal mixer setup in through the top. Omvl converter with sprintgas computer. Yes it runs on petrol. As the fan stopped comming on when i turn the car off and water was hot enough that it should come on i think my problem relates to that. Any thoughts? Gus.

run it on petrol :) the lines could be getting to cold to let the gas through and then put in injector cleaner in fuel tank to clean the system.then give it a week or more and switch to gas.

okay easy as, hold mode and up arrow start car then hit mode until you get to the temp when it hits 104 is when the thermostat opens and the fans kick in.
