pretty sure you can get the special tool from repco or bursons. cheers.![]()
The sender unit in my VT is faulty so am looking to get it out to check. I have dropped the tank but can't get the fuel lines off so I can get in there. Is there a trick to this or do you need a special tool.
Thanks
Scott

i just got my sender unit fixed. its part of a product recall.
call up holden and give em your chassis number etc and they will tell you if theres any recalls on your car. pretty sure that there were a lot of faulty fuel senders which were replaced free.
Can you still get it replaced if it's not under warranty? Fairly sure mines buggered. Says its half full and then suddenly drops to under a 1/4 tank.
If you are talking about the hose that goes to the fuel filter, you just push the connector towards the filter then squeeze the side tangs and pull it off. That's the way the Gregorys manual describes it, Ihave done it and it works.Originally Posted by scojohara
