3 LCD screen speedo cluster

can anyone tell me what the 2 extra LCD srceens are used for in the "3 LCD screen speedo cluster"???

I am wondering the same thing... And does anyone know if you can just hook it up straight to the origanal cluster with only 1 window. All those extra features are built in the cluster right. Cheers

i read somewhere it hooks stright into the existing i just dont know what its was for...

It is my beleif that the extra scrrens show things such as Average Speed, average fuel consumption. As for any more features, I dont know!!!

Well I just went and read pages 1-16 to 1-21 of the manual and here is the options that can be displayed:

Left - Center - Right

Avg Speed - Odometer - Avg Fuel
Trip Time - Trip Distance - Fuel used
OverSpeed - Distance to empty - Inst Fuel
Time to arrival - Distance to arrival - Remaining Fuel

so it shows the fuel inst? thats a cool one! when i used to drive mums VS V8 stato i tried to get it as high as i could! cant remember the highest though

Yup they sound about right.... My Berlina has the 3 LCD's.

You can turn the 4th one off which I have done because I don't have a distance to arrival entered.

The instantanious fuel can be scary!!!

Just ran my Vt Calais supercharged six up to kalgoorlie, 600 Km one way and on return trip got the consumption down to 8.5L / 100.... pretty happy with that
Am running premium juice in it which i think also helps....

so if I only have a single window display how can I upgrade to a 3 window unit?

I did a speedo swap over in a VT for a mate. A 3 window dash will not work in a 1 window dash's place. I replaced a 3 window with a 3 window, and it was different. It all plugged in, and speedo and tacho worked, just windows showed errors on a few. Was an easy task to do though.

yep you have to use a tech 2 to update the car so it works.
