Reset service notice(VT)

Just wondering if any one knows how to reset the flashing service reminder on the dash of the VT. I did the service myself so im not taking it in to the shop just for them to reset it. Any help would be greatly apprecieated

here you go
1 Turn the ignition off
2 Hold down trip computer up and down buttons together
3 Turn the ignition on while still holding the 2 buttons
4 after approx 3 seconds release both buttons
5 press the mode button untill service due screen appears
6 press and hold both up down buttons for approx 3 seconds untill you hear a beep
7 release both buttons
8 turn ignition off
9 send a $20.00 money order to me lol

What the hell? My service reminder has been going for fkn AGES! I didn't know you could do it that way, thought you'd need a tech 2. Is it the same for VX? I know about the Mode + Down button menu..

Yep, same for a vx (im 99% sure its in the owners manual somewhere).....

Yeah its in the back of the service manual it tells you step by step

lol i had to search jc forums ages ago for that never got a service manual with my vt

Was slightly different for my VYSS2

Hold the UP and DOWN, turn ignition on, wait untill you hear the beep(3 secs).
Screen displayed "Serivce Reminder 30,000"
Press and hold SET untill the beep.
Display showed "Service Reminder, No Items"

Looks like it has done the trick. Just hope it auto switches to the next scheduled service at 40k
