is the only way to get them out to pull the whole door trim off?

yeh, pretty much. its such an easy task to do, just undo any screw on the door trim you see, then pop the plastic thing out of the door lock and it should all pop off pretty easily

wat about the electric mirrors?

yeah the only way is to pull off the hole door trim. i replaced the original speakers with 6.5" speakers, all that i had to do was cut out the plastic holders thingos so they would fit in properly. So if you didn't want to cut the holders 6" ones would probably fit in perfectly.

That should pop off easily with a thin small flat head screw driver. Still, i was able to lift it off with my fingers.....

What about the front speakers for a VX? 6inch???
