Got the same prob on my wagon - i assume yours is a sedan?
Hey on my VT for some reason the seals around the rear window is coming loose for somet reason. And now when I drive the car rattles heaps from the back like a 2 year old child. Is there any means of fixing this issue. No water is coming in or anything, I just don't think it appears to be a tight fit anymore. Thus when the car is in motion is can move around a little and rattle. Its really starting to piss me off. How could I fix this...
Cheers

Yeah mate, sedan. The one thing though I was thinking of using silcon around the seals. Thus will stop it from making noises from the friction etc. Anyone recon that would be the go
just silicon them back on.
commodores use cheap window seals, i'm not sure they may have got better on VY
Does anyone know how to take the outer seals off first though. Ie the black one running up from the roof down to the boot. And the lower seal above the boot.
Cheers
bump....
ANYONE????
hehehe
Dont use silcon it causes rust ....the black strip that runs around the window can not be removed with out the window...the stuff they use is called urasthane, when it is hard (although flexable) it is part of the body strength
get it done properly and save yourself some headaches later.
Its all good now, problem solved... What happened was the lower seal on the window was getting shit, dirt etc build up. So I just pulled out the bottom seal and cleaned it all. Then bought a new one from holden for like 16 bucks and its good as new... no more rattles YAH hehehehe Cheers everyone..Originally Posted by skb
