Will a strut brace fit a V6 without loosing the engine cover ?
if so can you recommend a model ? ebay is full of them for cheap
It can I have seen it done but I ask why would you want one with a v6 unless its over 300kw? You dont need a strut brace unless you have over 500hp cos the body was built strong enough to handle it.
Eh... if it looks good... then why not!![]()
try and get one with at least 3 anchor points.
Bowers suspension on Ebay have 3 anchor' ones...
I ordered 1 for my VS, but they sent a panhard rod! so I had to pay extra postage coz of there stupidity. Said they'd send a free link kit... never happened
hard to find good ones on ebay, most are cheap knock offs.
i have a nolathane strut brace (part number: 44403A) on my VT. i also had a whiteline brace on my VN. both of them look great and stiffen up the front end nicely. the only time they are a pain is when you want to take off the engine cover you need to take off the brace.
i rekon get one

I heard they came standard on the later model SS's but probably not?
Yeah they came standard on the VY SS II, and you will be able to order them through holden, only $40-$50 from memory. There is a topic in the VZ forum about it, can't quite remember if they fit the VT/VX or not. Thing is with the VT you have to drill the holes for it, as there isn't any point to attach it too. So thats why I decided to just leave it.

the strut braces are for cornering flex not so much the power output on the motor, they really stiffen up the front end while cornering keeps both front wheels planted on the ground better
thank for the info mates
found a nice polished one on eblow
