    Default fuel gauge query

has anyone else had the same problem with their vx commodore series 2 that the fuel gauge varies mine goes up when i start the car and goes back down after about 5 seconds to where it was before when it does this the km,s to empty meter goes up and down like a yo yo and the car seems to take ages to get down to 3/4 of a tank and between 3/4 and 1/4 goes down really quick and then slows right down from 1/4 to empty

I don't ever rely on the fuel guage. I check the digital read out using the hidden trip computer feature to tell me exactly how many litres are left before I start every trip. Best to do it before you move the car or it fluctuates a lot when the fuel sloshes around. Also do it on a flat, not sloped, surface.

I have the same problem. I've heard somewhere that there was a recall on the fuel sender, but haven't followed it up yet. Very frustrating though.
