VX has a cable from the boot lock going to ????....

when in my VX boot today and playiny with the electric lock ( making it lock and unlock just to see how they work) hehehe.... i noticed a cable going from the boot lock into the car's interior to ?????? somewhere..... i dont know where it goes to ??... is it possable to unlock the boot by this cable if the electric lock stuffs up ?..

is it the cable that on the back of the rear seat next to the folddown centre back rest, the one with the yellow pull ring? That would be the saftey cable to open boot if you get locked in

try the glove box, it has a button to unlock the boot

doesnt the yellow handle cable release the fuel flap?

yep. the boot. i guess it's an anti-kidnapping feature of sorts... well, you can't blame holden for it - it is a huge boot. could fit about 4 kids in there

Bass..... in my younger days when there was Drive-in Theater we always took some mates in the boot of the car... then went right to the back and let them out.... they would then either come to our or other mates car to watch the movie....

that boot release cable, isnt it because the VX doesnt have a boot lock like the VT, just incase the electric's stuff up and you cant use the button in the glovebox or the button on the key? well that was my thinking to why it was there anyways.. correct me if im wrong...?
