Hi, I have had the aircon fan making a clicking noise for a while and want to know how to remove the dash face to get to the fan to fix the problem. thanks in advance![]()
The fan is located under the glove box, not behind the facia.
Stoke my ego, click the scales!!!

Stoke my ego, click the scales!!!

LOVE IT!!!!!
doesn't really help me but thanks anyway deserthead. Has anyone had to access the air con fan before?
Do it the smart way, just take it to holden, could save alot of headaches and broken pieces![]()
yeah i've booked it in but it's gonna take two weeks to get it in. when i had it serviced two weeks ago as a part of the 120k service i told them about it and they said they fixed it but the next day it came back again so they have said they would have to investigate some more. They said i wouldn't have to pay to get it looked at again but you just don't know with some places. It's just an annoying sound to put up with. thats why i was hoping someone who has had to access it before could help me fix the problem if it was a simple DIY thing.
open the glove box -- on the right hand side and left hand sides right at the bottom hinge use a flat blade screwdriver to prise one out, the glove box then slides out.. that should get ya started
mayby this thread will help
Vt Blower Fan
sounds too compicated for me. I think i'll leave it for holden to do. Thanks anyway
Is this a constant clicking noise whenever the fan is going? Mine makes a bit of a 'clunk' a few seconds after changing modes (eg; from re-circulate to demist)? I dunno if its anything to worry about or not.
Sorry to hijack, but does anyone know anything about that?
yes it is a constant clicking noise when the fan is going. there is not a clunking noise when i change modes though.
There's a sticky about getting to the fan at the top of the VT-VX section, I suggest reading that.
I don't know ... maybe I missed something.
However, I accessed my cars fan easily. Underneith the glove box, I just undid the 3 screws, took the cover off ... and there's the fan. Easy to pull out the fan from there. I got it out, and put it back in within 10 minutes.
