Hi all,
I've have the option to buy either a VT standard or VT calais cd player to fit into my VT acclaim, both the same price($80).Should I grab the Calais unit (no stacker) and will it fit straight into my acclaim. What about the speakers in my acclaim? will they cope with the high power deck? Also is there any thing else I should grab from the Calais to make my acclaim better inside, climate control etc, what will fit and just plug straight in and work. Its had a BIG side hit so door trims seats etc are wrecked. Apologies for my lack of knowledge but am just a commodore newbie!
Cheers

the calais one will fit straight in as it is double din aswell, but i know in my vx calais the head deck was useless without the stacker it only has the radio and tape player, thats why i took it out when my stacker starting giving error 99, holden wanted over $1000 to replace the stacker, i put a pioneer deck in, for cheaper and it sounds a hundred times better.
if you want to stick with a standard headunit dont bother with the calais deck unless you have a stacker already wired up. as far as i know the calais headunit is the same power rating into the speakers, but also has the standard amp which gives the extra power to power the subs.
someone correct me if im wrong.
