vt aircon stopped

does anyone know if there is a common prob with vt gen 3 air con .it just stopped working .there was no signs of any problems or noises .i think it may be the switch but the light is coming on when i push it .i cannot here the relay making the clicking sound in the fuse box .my mechanic says compressors go on vt,s and cost around 600.if a lot of you had similar probs it would help me eliminate the problem .thanks

if the fan isnt working, then it would be the relay behind the glovebox, i had the same issue in my car, but in mine the fan/aircon workd only on high.. brought the relay from holden which cost me 75 dollars.. if it is that, make sure u get the right relay, as the people at holden gave me the wrong one, they gave me one for a normal commodore which costs 25 dollars, the fan worked but wouldnt turn off, till i exchanged it for a dual climate ctrl one.... now its as good as new...

Doesnt seem like the compressor, fuse etc all ok? I'm not sure if holdens do it, but when the gas empties on the ford's, the compressor wont kick in on the newer models. If you do need a new compressor let me know, i can get 300 off the price you were quoted

if the fans not working there is a air hose that works on vacumn that comes out of the firewall and onto a small valve. i mean real small.

i knocked it off when i was having a play in the area

hi the fan is still working as normal . i push the ac button on the light comes on but the compressor doesnt start ..........thanks

prolly to low then it wont kick in if to low
get it topped up and see
