Default Front Z bar mounting bushes

Hi Guys, Just got my 2000VT Berlina back from the mechanics after a service. The guy there says that the "Front Z bar mounting bushes" are worn causing the front wheels to move forwards and backwards when braking or going over speed bumps etc. Ive searched the threads but cant seem to find anything on this. Can anyone explain it to me please? he said it wasnt too much to worry about for now but will charge me $320 to adjust them?? I was thinking about getting a 4point camber kit installed. Will this replace the bushes in the front as well as the back? Thanks in advance.

Cheers, mike

I had the same problem on my car. They often wear out and make a weird kind of a noise.

I had Pedders replace my front bushes and the car felt awesome afterwards. I'd rather have Pedders do it, then a mechanic.

$320 will only replace the bushes in the front though.. There's a whole heap of other bushes in the back, that have nothing to do with a camber kit.

I'd say get a $14 safety check from Pedders and see what they have to say. They are the specialists and it's their bread and butter.

number 15 on the pic is the front Z bar bush, 6 & 7 will probably get done at teh same time if they are showing any signs of wear. Plus this price should include a wheel alignment, it all seems about right to me, those front bushes
can be anywhere from $142 - $170 deppending on mark up
