I am aware that there is a vacuum operated solenoid which adjust the ventilation settings behind the rotary control for defog/face/foot etc and hopefully it is only a hose which has come off.
There is a constant hissing sound and the rotary control which adjusts defog or face etc settings does not work properly, since it is a constant hissing noise I would imagine it is a vacuum line leak.
Has anyone had any similar problems?
Update: If I push on the dial for a while it works......somethings buggered alright.

Definitly sounds like a leak.
I had a similar prob, but turned out that the heater solenoid hose had been taken off. . . . .
U probly got the same thing, hose has fallen off, busted hose or busted component. . . .
Stoke my ego, click the scales!!!
Stoke it!!!!
LOVE IT!!!!!
Yeah, buggered component I think, the dial which adjusts defog/foot/face/recirculate, etc is hissing but stops if you push it together, I took off the dash garnish and had a look behind and could not see any wires missing but noticed the buggered part, and knowing my luck I'll have to buy the complete dial assembly![]()
I had the same problem.... found out later it was the pod filter sucking in air...lol
